Announcements

1145am CST: There have been some system wide problems with video (we're running 2 rounds from Texas and 2 from Louisiana on separate servers & video went down across the board in round 1 = this appears to be a skype issue).  Audio has been maintained whenever video has went down.  We will continue rounds while attempting video, but with audio only if necessary.  Thanks for your understanding.

1145am CST: Also, we realize that there may have been issues in round 1 where we allowed the completed ballots to be viewed by the competitors.  That was an error on our part and we apologize (of course this is experimental and we appreciate your understanding).  For all future ballots, please email them to TOURNAMENT@IPDADEBATE.INFO   Thank You.  At the conclusion of the tournament we will distribute ballots.

Round Postings of Pairings and Topics

Pairings and topics will be added under each of the round headers below in accordance with the schedule posted above.  Once a pairing or topic posting has been uploaded, the text will change to this color; at that point you may simply click on the term ("pairings" or "topics") to access the file (BE SURE TO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER PRIOR TO THE DRAW TIME TO SEE THE PAIRINGS, AND AT THE DESIGNATED DRAW TIME TO BE ABLE TO VIEW THE TOPICS).

Semifinals

Note:

We will initiate a call at 6:00 pm where we will flip a coin, have one of the debaters call heads or tails and that the winner of the coin flip will choose their side in the debate.   Topics will then be posted & strike will begin at 6:15.   Finals will occur in a similar method ASAP after the conclusion of semifinals.  Ballots will be distributed ASAP after the conclusion of the tournament via email.  All awards will be distributed at the IPDA National Tournament (or mailed after the conclusion of the IPDA National Tournament for those programs unable to attend). Thanks again to all of you for helping to test this concept, we greatly appreciate your participation.
