The IPDA Textbook is now available for purchase!
The International Public Debate Association is proud to announce that a textbook has been created that offers specific instruction on the IPDA style of debate. Edited by Dr. Pat Richey of MTSU, with contributions by a host of the top current and former IPDA coaches in the nation, this text will help you and your program train debaters of all skill levels to the highest possible standards.
A member of our community and organization could use your help. Trey Gibson, who has been a longtime debate coach in Louisiana as well as someone who has been instrumental in the growth and success of IPDA since its inception has been rocked by some very humbling news. His 9 year-old daughter was diagnosed this week with stage 4 brain cancer. It has come as a complete shock to the Gibson family as the first tests were run just a week ago. Emilie Gibson will likely be transferred to a hospital specializing in treatment in the coming days and obviously transport and medical expenses will take a toll on the family. IPDA would like to assist Trey and his family by allowing coaches and competitors from all over the circuit to pitch in whatever they can to help a friend and colleague in this tremendous time of need. Every dime collected by this account will go directly to helping fund Emilie's care and the Gibson family travel wherever that care may be. Thank you in advance for any contribution you and your team can make and please feel free to contact senior leadership members of the organization if you have questions. We will try to answer any you may have.
